you trust yourself?

I’ve created a philosophy that I call Radical Self-Trust and I define it as  one’s capacity for steadfast self-awareness and self-loyalty.

It manifests as a consistent practice of purposeful actions that have a comprehensive effect on all aspects of the life experience.

Sound interesting?

As I continue to develop my philosophy of Radical Self-Trust (RST), I have created a personalized lexicon, or vocabulary, to help explain different aspects of this philosophy.

By themselves, a lot of these words and phrases are nothing special. You’ve probably heard them all before.

But when I put them together, they make up six different challenges that RST can help with, six different ways to cultivate RST, and six different benefits that are outcomes of practicing RST.

Also manifests as self-doubt and insecurity, with a core feeling of pain.

Also manifests as paralysis and lack of direction, with a core feeling of being stuck.

Also manifests as anxiety and stress, with a core feeling of being tired.

Pessimism

Also manifests as bitterness and cynicism, with a core feeling of anger.

Also manifests as malaise and embarrassment, with a core feeling of frustration.

Overwhelm

Also manifests as distraction and confusion, with a core feeling of being unsettled.

Six ways to cultivate radical self-trust

The “how” of Radical Self-Trust is what you can do to cultivate it in your life.

Radical-self trust can be cultivated through the following six actions:

Deep reflection on your personality, core values, strengths, weaknesses, and life’s purpose.

Living core values with intention

The alignment of what you believe to be important with the actions that you take on a daily basis.

Nurturing your superpowers

Purposefully investing in and honing your strengths so that they improve your life’s work and are noticeable to others.

Practicing loving-kindness toward yourself and others

Having consideration and affection for yourself and those around you.

Playfully experimenting

Taking calculated and creative risks in order to learn more about yourself and the world around you.

Settling into your life's purpose

Making a commitment to contribute to the world through your particular constellation of strengths and abilities.

Six benefits of cultivating radical self-trust

The “what” of Radical Self-Trust are the outcomes of practicing RST in your life.

Practicing Radical Self-Trust results in the following six benefits:

Clarity of direction and/or peace with decision making

A strong sense that you are moving in the right direction even if an ultimate end point is unknown.

An alignment of values with actions

Making values-based choices in your life and work.

Increased self-confidence and self-acceptance

A genuine appreciation of who you are and what you need.

Magnetism

A sense that people are attracted to you when you are enacting your best self and living your best life.

Energized focus

A motivational pull toward and momentum to complete the work you are meant to do.

Meaningful productivity

Having a to-do list or taking action on tasks that are rooted in a larger purpose.
